This is not a Miramonte thing, it is a Miramonte/Campolindo thing because we have a common enemy - Acalanes. We also have a geographic, historical and political basis for considering all of us "Orinda People".
Wasn't Rancho Moraga originally part of Rancho San Pablo?
Can you even get to Moraga without coming through Orinda?
In a bizarre display of bureaucratic tomfoolery the Acalanes High School District intermixed many Orinda people, people that had attended Glorietta Grammar School or Inland Valley Middle School, (people whose residences had actual Orinda postal zones or ZIP codes) with Moraga, Canyon, mysterious Bollinger Canyon, and even (god forbid) a scant few Lafayette people (not that there is anything wrong with Moraga, Canyon or Bollinger Canyon people) to form the Campolindo student body. Forever blurring the lines of civic pride. This is probably why Moraga eventually became a "Town" rather than a real live, grown up, "City".
Yes! If you attended Campolindo because you lived in Moraga, Canyon, Rheem, mysterious Bollinger Canyon or you were the victim of bureaucratic fiat, you are truly an "Orinda Person" and are invited to the party.
Please review the All Orinda Reunion definition of "What Constitutes Orinda" and come to the party.
